He received a total of 12 years and 4 months for his actions from the court on October 13th, 2011.
Walter's experience as a 19 year old slaughterhouse construction worker propelled him into Veganism and a life focused on ending our culture's enslavement and exploitation of animals and the natural world. As a prisoner of war, Walter continues to influence and motivate other activists dynamically via his essays and public statements which have speedily transversed the globe over the internet and have been translated into several different languages. Walter Bond was placed back in general population at Davis County Jail, after spending 15 days in solitary confinement and then 15 days in 23-hrs per day cell confinement. He is doing okay and is awaiting transfer any day now to a U.S. federal prison. Please do not mail him any internet printouts; only cards and letters.
Today Walter was sentenced to 87 months in prison for the ALF arsons in Utah. This new sentencing will run consecutive with his time in Colorado. This gives Walter a total of 12 years for his actions as the ALF Lone Wolf. Walter's Final Statement to the Court in Utah
